Yes - that’s a lofty dodge. perhaps it means that McCain is out of touch with “the people”? It sickens me to think that that pathetic excuse for a man is still seen as some kind of icon; but is bereft of honor, duty and loyalty. “They” say he’s out of touch, that he’s an old, rich, white guy - that all may be true, thereupon again, perhaps it isn’t. certain, I disagree with his politics, but I can respect the man he is - to a point. Sad, I tell you, sad. The biggest issue, for me of course, was the repeated use of “God” by the Democrats. Knowing what is on MTV these days isn’t going to do squat for the country - but knowing how the Congress has run for 26 years is a good place to start when you want to fix things, or perhaps I’m wrong? possibly it was cold feet, possibly he wanted to come off like a “tough” guy - who knows? He’s a father and a husband, which are qualities to be respected (within reason), but he’s a player of his own horn. I’m sorry, but after the Democrats and allied agencies, like the ACLU, have spent the past decade raping our schools of prayer, of the freedom of faith and forcing upon us the biased “tolerance” that they spew from their demonic tongues - I really don’t buy any ‘shout to God’ made by the Democratic party. She is the least experienced of the bunch. Those faithful who watched it probably stomached Clinton - either one of them; I applaud you. Palin, on the other hand, lacks experience in national government. I don’t know whether it was a wise choice - I don’t know what she’s capable of, that will be known in date. Hillary, of course, is no better. I am a military member and a gun owner; the Democrats have consistently proven that they care for neither - Obama and Biden are of the exact same thread. Out of touch with what? It’s the good cop, poor cop scenario for the Democrats. For the moment, McCain and Palin are my choice. She’s a woman - there’s no doubt that is part of it, but I’d hate to think it was the whole. In fairness, I’m certain there are some true believers floating around there somewhere - but the fact is, you’ll never see them as the face of the party.

That being said, Obama delivered a lukewarm speech -  a far cry from his usual addresses, which are normally filled with a lot more personable passion. God help those who are lukewarm or refuse to live up to their potential; they’ll reap what they sow. plus a father and a husband, with some hard times in his past, we’ll see what comes from him during the campaign.

McCain and Palin - never, ever saw that coming. McCain - not much to say about him, except the obvious. It’s true, she lacks experience - but I still don’t care, just like I don’t care about Obama’s lack of experience. They have a great attack dog in Biden, whom I can respect for his straight shooting and clarity. The US government isn’t run by one person - we know that, it’s run by a team. I guess a politician has to be, but don’t play ‘three blind mice’ and tell me it’s Mozart. I don’t know. Personally, I don’t care - the VP isn’t the President. whether all Obama needs to be “in touch” is a mere three years in the small, south side of Chicago, thereupon McCain fares well; unless, of course, you think he spent his career at his desk in DC. It’s a smart thing for me - but might not be for you. VP’s have been chosen, but I say “almost” set considering we still have to get through the Republican National Convention (RNC) next week. She’s a lot more right than McCain, perhaps that’s the reason. Billy-boy, the sickening excuse for a husband, slid through with his slick tongue and hidden rhetoric, to the applause of the ignorant crowd. Well, he’s definitely rich, he’s definitely old and he’s definitely white - but out of touch? The past aside, and leaving that rabbit to rest, the whole of the Convention was iffy, to say the best. I’m still waiting for the “change” they rant about - it’s still the same old Democratic politics.

Obama and Biden, an unexpected combination - but one which seems like a good fit for them. She has made it evident that she is not a moron, she is a smart woman. I’m hoping for a better turn out than the DNC, which was all well and good but had a few things that kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

The stage is nearly set for the 2008 Presidential election in November. His “community” efforts were minimal, in comparison to what he, as a man, was capable of - but they’re running with that flag to the end. Forget that he lied to the country, he molested the sanctity of his marriage - what kind of country is that, where a man like that is a hero? Besides, whether you can successfully raise five children and be the Governor of a state - I think you have a handle on diplomacy, sacrifice, compromise and economy. To wit, I’d have to ask “what people”? Palin, like Hillary Clinton, doesn’t seem like an idiot - she seems strong, honest, forthright and intelligent - not someone who would press ignorance simply considering they could.

I don’t agree with everyone, I don’t claim Democrat or Republican - I have issues which are urgent to me. So, the concept that she remains with a pig like Bill is a clear sign that she’s using him for her career - but no one seems to care. A lot of sideways talk which edged along the truth, barely grazing it and nothing “new” from the Democrats. I don’t understand how someone could spend so much instance in politics and be “out of touch”, unless I don’t understand the phrase. McCain and Palin for MY rights and the management of MY service to our country.

There was not a without instance of His invoking that didn’t seem like a punch line for the party. perhaps she forgave him, God-bless her whether she did, but she doesn’t seem like the type of woman capable of that - thereupon again, I’m a bit cynical, LOL. Obama only makes me feel a bit like vomiting - so he’s not all poor. Thanks, but no thanks - NoBama in 08.
