Calvary Chapel St. Helena

Calvary Chapel St. Helena will hold its Christmas Eve Service from 5 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24 at the American Legion Hall, 1291 Madrona Ave. in St. Helena.

Calvary Christian Church

Join us for a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 6 p.m. that includes Christmas carols, the Christmas story, and goodies afterward. Calvary Christian Church is located at 2322 Spring St. in St. Helena.

Community Presbyterian Church

Calistoga’s Community Presbyterian Church will be having a free “Shelly Shows Movies” at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 23 featuring “The Muppet Christmas Carol.” Free popcorn and hot cocoa, people can bring a snack to share. Coloring available to those who desire.

Christmas Eve Service will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24 featuring carols, candles, communion and color crayons.

The congregation will be having its normal 10:30 a.m., Sunday services on Dec. 25 for a special service with lots of hymns, stories and color crayons for the youngsters. The church is located at Third and Washington streets.

First Church of Christ, Scientist

The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Napa will hold its church service and Sunday School from 10 to 11 a.m., Christmas Day, Dec. 25. The church is located at 2210 Second St. in Napa.

Grace Episcopal Church

Grace will hold two services on Christmas Eve: its 4 p.m. Family Service on Saturday, Dec. 24 with its Midnight Mass beginning at 10:30 p.m. On Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25, there will be one service at 11 a.m.

Normal services return on Sunday, Jan. 2. Grace Church is located at 1314 Spring St. in St. Helena.

Highlands Christian Fellowship

On Christmas Eve, the “Real Christmas” celebration will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24. All are welcome at Highlands Christian Fellowship, 970 Petrified Forest Road, Calistoga. The evening will include music from the choir, a solo and familiar Christmas songs for all to sing along. The story for Jesus’ birth will show his reason for coming to earth. Children are welcome and will enjoy a piñata at the end of the hour. With a birthday cake, all ages will be invited to share the joy with the community.

No service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 25.

St. Helena Catholic Church

Christmas services will include the following:

5 p.m., Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, Family Mass with Children’s Tableau — the gift of Bethlehem;

7 p.m., Christmas Vigil Mass in Spanish

10:30 p.m., Carols from around the world followed by Christmas Eve Mass

On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Mass will be spoken in English at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and in Spanish at 9:30 a.m.

St. Helena United Methodist Church

The St. Helena United Methodist Church has a variety of Advent services planned, starting with 5 p.m., Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24.

Terry Winn on the piano and Jeffrey Johnson on cello begin their musical selections at 4:30 p.m., with Chanukah blessing sung to start the service at 5 p.m., which includes the lighting of first night candle in the Menorah and the lighting of all of the candles on the Advent wreath. (Chanukah Eve and Christmas Eve are the same this year.) Soloists are Katie Sculatti and Cynthia Ernshar.

On Christmas Day, the sanctuary will be open from 10 to 11 a.m. for mediation and the music of Christmas. It is a time for families to spend time together: every family is sacred as they gather in love, mercy and forgiveness.

On Sunday, Jan. 1 at 10 a.m., the service will include “Songs for All Four Seasons” by Wesla Whitfield and Mike Greenberg. Pastor Audrey Ward will preside.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

On Christmas Eve, services will be held starting at 6 p.m. and on Christmas Day, services will be held starting at 10 a.m.

The church is located at 1504 Myrtle St., Calistoga.

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church

St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Oakville, will hold its Christmas Week services starting at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 18 with the Fourth Sunday in Advent Mass (said) at 8 a.m. and a Choral Mass at 10:30a.m. The Greening of the Church will occur afterwards. Bring your Poinsettias to adorn the Altar.

Saturday, Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, caroling will begin at 5:30 p.m., with a Choral Mass at 6:15 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day, Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m.

Monday, Dec. 26, the Feast of St. Stephen Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m.
