Bingo and Molly-A Turn for the Better
Gladys is eating her breakfast when she notices the message on the back of the cereal packet. “Sent in 10 packet tops and win a beautiful car”. The offer closes that day. Oh Dear! What can Gladys do? She can’t eat 10 packets of cereal in a day. Then she has a great idea. She’ll get her friends to help and they can all share the car.
Soon Bingo, Molly, Duck and Zigger are chomping their way though the cereal and only the thought of the beautiful car keeps them eating.
At last, a large packing case arrives, it’s the car. There is great excitement as they assemble it, but Mr. Growl senses trouble. They all want to be the first to drive it.
“I’m the oldest, I’ve eaten most of the cereal, it was my idea, I’m the best driver, I’m the smallest, why should I always be last?”
While they are squabbling, Gladys drives off. Where has she taken the car? The search ends up at Mr. Growl’s garden. After a special story from the Book tree, the friends have a better understanding about how to take turns.
When they find Gladys, Molly explains how they can all play the “car game”. It’s great fun.
Bingo and Molly was awarded the prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award AND The Parents Choice Award for Excellence in Children’s Programming.
