Finally, another traveler came down the road.

Instead of walking past, he stopped to help.

The Samaritan carefully helped the injured traveler.
He cleaned and bandaged the man’s wounds. Then he placed the injured man on his own donkey and took him to an inn where he could rest and recover.

He told the innkeeper, “Take care of him, and if it costs more, I will pay you when I return.”
