On the fourth day, God made the lights in the sky.

the moon for the night

Day 5 – God Made Birds and Fish

On the fifth day, God filled the sky and the sea.

He made birds to fly in the sky.

God saw that it was good.

Day 6 – God Made Animals and People

On the sixth day, God made animals that live on land.

He made:

cows
lions
dogs
sheep
insects
every kind of creature

Then God made something very special.

He made people.

God made the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve.

People were different from animals because God made them in His image.

God loved them very much.

This was the sixth day.

Day 7 – God Rested

On the seventh day, God rested.

He did not rest because He was tired.

He rested to show that His work was finished.

God blessed the seventh day and made it holy.

This is why many people rest and worship God on a special day each week.
