Noah in the Bible

A World That Forgot About God

Long ago, the world became filled with unkindness and bad choices. People stopped listening to God and hurting one another became common. But there was one man who still loved God and wanted to do what was right — Noah.

Noah lived a good, honest life. Because of this, God chose him for a very special mission. God told Noah that a great flood was coming to wash away all the evil in the world. But He also promised to protect Noah and his family because they followed Him with faithful hearts.

This helps kids understand an important truth: God sees the good in people who choose kindness and righteousness.

God’s Big Instructions

God gave Noah in the Bible detailed instructions:
He must build a gigantic ark, a huge boat big enough to protect his family and pairs of every kind of animal on earth.

Noah listened carefully. Even though he didn’t understand how everything would happen, he trusted God completely. While others laughed or called him strange, Noah stayed focused and faithful.

This teaches children an important kids Bible lesson: following God often means doing the right thing, even when others don’t understand.

Gathering the Animals Two by Two

When the ark was finally finished, something incredible happened. Animals began arriving just as God had promised:

Elephants and rabbits
Lions and lambs
Zebras, birds, bears, turtles, monkeys — every creature God had made

They came in pairs, two by two, walking into the ark peacefully. Imagine how amazed Noah’s family must have felt seeing the world’s animals gathering around them!

Children love this part of the story because it shows how God cares for all creation.

The Rain Begins

Once Noah, his family, and all the animals were safely inside, God closed the door of the ark. Then the sky grew dark, and rain began to fall.

For forty days and forty nights, the rain poured, rivers overflowed, and the earth filled with water. But inside the ark, everyone was safe. God protected them just as He promised.

This teaches children that God keeps His word and watches over those who trust Him.

A New Beginning

After many days, the rain stopped. The water slowly lowered, and the ark came to rest on a mountain. Noah opened a window and sent out a dove to see if the land was dry.

The dove returned with an olive leaf, a sign that life was returning and the world was beginning to grow again.

Soon, Noah and his family stepped out of the ark onto dry ground. The world was fresh, clean, and ready for a new beginning.

God’s Rainbow Promise

Then God made a beautiful promise — a promise that still shines in the sky today. He placed a rainbow across the clouds and said:

“This is my promise to you. Never again will a flood cover the whole earth.”

The rainbow became a symbol of God’s love, hope, and faithfulness. Children love this moment because it shows that God always brings light after the storm.
